The conference is held on 15 and 16 May 2024 at the Paranaple Convention Centre, Devonport.
The conference is made up of short, informative sessions on business, motivation, digital marketing and more. Our keynote speaker will share her incredible story of business, resilience and ambition.
Yes! The conference is for women in business, leadership, marketing and anyone who would love to learn about marketing, resilience, mental health, branding, copywriting and more. We simply had to pick a name for the conference that wasn't too long and somewhat descriptive.
A few years ago my husband, daughter and I moved to Tasmania, seeking a slower pace of life and a strong sense of community. We have since welcomed our son and have settled into life on the North West Coast. As a business owner of over 10 years, who lost some of her ‘village’ after moving, I was eager to engage with like-minded women in the community who share a passion for entrepreneurship and leadership.
As an ambitious professional, much like you, I longed for a space where I could meet other inspiring women, exchange ideas, and learn from their experiences. I believe that stories are the glue that holds us together and helps us grow. I believe in the power of a supportive community and the impact it can have on individual growth and collective success. Despite my search across Tasmania, I couldn’t find the kind of business event I had in my mind.
Driven by the desire to create something that could fill this void, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a space where women leaders, entrepreneurs, and aspiring professionals come together, share their stories and learn from each other’s journeys.
But my goal goes beyond just creating a conference; it’s about featuring and amplifying the incredible talent that exists within Tasmania. There are so many remarkable women who are achieving great things in the business world but they aren’t necessarily easy to find. I’m determined to provide a stage for these extraordinary individuals, to showcase their success stories, their knowledge and to inspire others with their experiences.
That’s how the Tasmanian Women in Business Conference was born.
It’s not just about organising an event, it’s about fostering a community of women who would support, uplift and learn from each other.
While I recognise that it’s not an easy goal to achieve, I’m pouring my heart and soul into every detail of this event and hope that it will be a beacon for women in business – a place to connect, learn and be inspired by the amazing and diverse talent in Tasmania. I want this event to be a testament to the power of community and the incredible potential that comes from supporting each other on the path to success.
We have locked in our speakers for this year, but feel free to apply to be a speaker for upcoming conferences.
We’re on the lookout for amazing sponsors that align with our mission of celebrating, empowering and uplifting women in business and the community. Please get in touch to be a sponsor. hello[at]northmarketing.com.au
